... to say, Good Move for RB.... who I thought his future rested in French Fries and drive-throughs. How he gets another job is fascinating. |

Winning (For the most part) track records in the NHL usually go a long way... |

A winning track record and the Lightning needed experience behind the bench in a desperate way. |

Lightning needed an experienced guy behind the bench. Once Fleming left, the team had a huge void back behind the bench. |

I made an account to post just so I could say how sloppy your defence is about to become. Canucks D-core never really looked like they knew how to play man to man, and had a tendency to be very hesitant when they had to do anything other than the structure they were given. Take that with the constant D-pairing changes, so nobody could get comfortable with each other, was also annoying. We had a great pairing of Tanev and Ballard, but apparently it was too effective, and as soon as Ballard got hurt for a stretch, it was never heard from again. |

The lack of right handed shots was a big part of the D struggles. |

With all due respect, I think that the Ballard situation had more to do with Vigneault than it did with Bowness. You don't stick around in this league for long if you're really that bad. I understand that it was time for a change in Vancouver, but don't take away from all the great things that Bowness and Vigneault managed to do for that franchise. Coaches don't stick around for as long as those guys did. Clearly something was done right. |

I read it, and found it quite amusing. While Edler is certainly full of potential, at 27 years of age it's hard to imagine that he will ever wrinkle out the inconsistencies that have absolutely plagued him over the last couple of seasons. He is certainly not worth a top three pick. |
